Possible Credits (Maximum 5)

Create at least one Google Alert. (5 credits)

What are Google Alerts?

Google Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google results (web, news, etc.) based on your personal search terms. PR departments often set up Google Alerts for their organizations to see what's being said on the web about them, individuals might set up an alert on their name for the same reasons. You can use an alert to follow your favorite band, or keep track of any organization.

Why do I care?

If you have a professional or personal passion, Alerts are a great way to keep on top of the latest news in any arena. The best part about them is that they can be set up to be delivered directly to your inbox or RSS reader, so you don't need to search them out. They're easy to set up, and once they're in place they automatically send you the information you want.
